I would like to thank you for taking the time to talk to me yesterday regarding my deceased mare Picante.
Your credentials are very impressive
and I would certainly feel confident if you were handling Picante’s case.

Title of Article: "Know What Your Lawyers Are Doing"
Author: David D. Johnson
I try to keep up with legal thoughts and cases that
may affect my friends and legal actions they may have commenced
relating to a horse-related issue; (Remember, I am NOT an
attorney...talk to your own lawyer).
The District of Columbia Court of Appeals recently held
that a partner was in violation of the Washington, DC, Rules
of Professional Conduct. The problem came from his lack
of supervision of an associate, also an attorney.
The case's issues are unimportant. Suffice to say
that the partner was not fully aware of what the young and
inexperienced associate was doing or not doing, which was
required by the Washington, DC Rules of Professional Conduct.
(The case is In re Cohen, 847 A.2nd 1162 (D.C. 2004)
It's important to keep aware of who at the law firm
you engage is actually keeping up with your case. This does
not mean that you are to "second guess"
your legal help. So rather than simply turning your case
over to the law firm, "en masse," you need to
be helpful in perfecting your case, legal issues and keeping
an "eye on the store" as well.
